Why does the Nedbank consultants tell you that you can't open an everyday savings account? They tell you that you HAVE to open a Current Account if you earn more than X-amount.What if you are only looking to put some money into a savings account? Are they getting commission if they sell you an expensive product? I now sit with a Nedbank Current account that is of no use to me. Nedbank is however getting the monthly fee from this account...I am going into the branch to close this account. If they get this message, they can call me -

After I left University and started paying the full banking fees it came as an absolute shock what Nedbank were charging. I was disappointed that their entire goal seemed to lure people in and then suck them dry, by charging high fees for everything. South African banks need to start moving towards earning their principle income from the difference between interest on loans and savings and stop charging such high bank charges and eventually stopping all bank charges.

The internet banking is faulty, am on my way to the branch now again, 3rd time lucky maybe. If the tech services knew what they were talking about then maybe it would work, and if the lady at inquiries didnt tell me to register for cellphone(wap) banking via my phone it might have been up and running. very unimpressed with there lack of knowledge on their own system
