I have conceptualised a saving product using cellphone technology to help people like myself and other grassroots communities to inculcate a culture of saving but todate, the banks and the MNOs have not demonstrated any enthusiasm to my business concept. FNB have promised to look into the concept but todate nothing has happened. The National Savings Institute, the National Treasury and the National Planning Commission have been disappointing as they have not even had the courtesy to acknowledge reciept of my comprehensive household savings model. It is necessary that a national savings initiative should be embraced to save people from hardships.
