We are both graduates and a very new to the working world. After 3 months of contributions to Unity we had to claim after someone crashed into our car in a parking area. It took them a mere one week and a hefty phone bill for me to inform me that they will not be able to cover us due to a certificate that they did not receive from us upon registering with them. This information was offcourse not stressed to us when we joined them.
We decided to cancel our membership with them. They are however still deducting money from us. Their customer help line is pathetic. ![]() Less than a year |

Caught off gaurd I was forced into an overpriced policy. 24 hours later I tried to cancel my agreement, after having not signed anything, my policy had already been trasnferred to African Independent (I assume underwriters) in Pretoria and was blocked.
Unity then debited R1000 from my account and only a month later, after being disconnected several times I managed to cancel the mal-brokered policy and switch to a better insurer.
