Bestmed cancels your daughters membership and cover without notifying you. Only when you try to claim you find out that she's not covered. How's that for pathetic service

Dont forget to get gapcover if you are under 69 yrs old as you will definitely need it for planned operations.As a young pensioner I had to pay R7500 for the surgeons fee (I managed to talk him down to 50% of that ) and the anesthetist was R1500 extra as well.

Want a full cover medical aid for my family. Don't want to see any acounts when going to doctors or hospitals. Want to pay my fee and the rest to be done by the medical aid department. That is why I asked for 100% cover.

BestMed now called SkinnyMed by me ; ; I use to belong to Telemed & was relatively satisfied as they were better than most Medical aids ; They went over to BestMed, I needed to have my Hernia fixed as it tore again, BestMed refused my operation ( reason ), it was declined , my weight is not in accordance to my height!! ; I phoned ALL OVER to ask whom Declined this, but NO ONE would give me a name neither would they let me make a appointment to come and speak with someone about this problem ; ; it's been over a yr now I am having lots of pain & cannot do much work ; ; ; So it comes down to - they are not helping ppl if you are over weight & I would like to see evidence where they declined ppl that are under weight !! ; ;
